FOLLOW THE WORKFLOW

Step-by-step instructions

Complete and verify each stage before continuing.

  1. 01

    Identify separate legal entities

List businesses that need separate ledger books, invoices, GST registrations or legal identity. Use the company master rather than branch records for those boundaries.

  2. 02

    Add permitted companies

Open the company administration screen, create company records and verify identifying fields. Follow subscription limits and company-creation validation.

  3. 03

    Configure branches

Use the company’s available branch management where supported. Confirm the default branch and add extra operating locations only when required.

  4. 04

    Assign warehouse context

Map stock locations to the intended company and branch workflow. Test stock movement rules before performing a real warehouse transfer.

  5. 05

    Set user rights

Assign company and module permissions. Verify an employee cannot switch into or edit records in an unauthorised company.

  6. 06

    Test reporting and switching

Switch companies and review one sample report in each context. Confirm that invoices and dashboards show the correct active company.

Final verification checklist

  • Each invoice has the right company details
  • Stock reports use the intended location
  • Users can only enter permitted companies
