Job work movements and stage quantity changes

Record which employee received work, how much was processed and what was handed off.

Goal: Clear movement logs and distinct issue, produce and billable quantities.

Before you begin

  • Job work / operation configuration
  • Employee and department masters
  • UOMs and production workflow defined
FOLLOW THE WORKFLOW

Step-by-step instructions

Complete and verify each stage before continuing.

  1. 01

    Start with an active job

Select the appropriate product, job and operation. Confirm the current responsible department and employee.

  2. 02

    Record material issue

Enter what was issued in the source unit, such as 50 metres of fabric. Use UOM master values rather than free text.

  3. 03

    Record processed output

Where supported, enter the new stage output, such as 60 cut pieces, distinctly from movement quantity and raw-material consumption.

  4. 04

    Choose labour measurement

If the deployed feature permits it, choose whether the billable quantity follows moved units or accepted produced units; check configured rates.

  5. 05

    Complete employee handover

Record the receiving employee or department, rejected/scrap quantity and the confirmed accepted quantity.

  6. 06

    Review movement and payment records

Check the movement log, operator records, quantity balances and accounting before finalising pay or finishing the job.

Final verification checklist

  • Source quantity and output remain separate
  • Accepted output matches next-stage intake
  • Billable basis is explicitly approved
Release or compliance note

Stage UOM conversion and produced-quantity billing must be confirmed in the live deployment. Do not assume they are automatic in every version.
