FOLLOW THE WORKFLOW

Step-by-step instructions

Complete and verify each stage before continuing.

  1. 01

    Review opening quantity

Check the intended warehouse, opening balance and posted historical movements before adding more stock.

  2. 02

    Receive stock correctly

Use purchasing or the approved stock-receipt workflow to recognise physically received items; avoid direct database adjustments.

  3. 03

    Transfer between locations

Select source and destination warehouses in the supported transfer form. Verify quantities and company context before posting.

  4. 04

    Record issue and return

Use the relevant sales, consumption or return document to explain why quantities changed.

  5. 05

    Choose a valuation policy

Ask accounts to approve FIFO, LIFO or weighted-average treatment as supported and permitted for the reporting purpose.

  6. 06

    Reconcile stock reports

Compare movement history, stock ledger, physical counts and valuation. Investigate negative stock or missing transfers.

Final verification checklist

  • Warehouse quantity agrees with movements
  • Transfer has correct source and destination
  • Valuation follows accounting policy
